Location: Riverside, CA 92504
Salary: $135,000 - $160,000 Relocation
Founded in 1965 we are the premier producer of truck & van bodies in the US. We specialize in the manufacturing of dry freight, custom cargo, refrigerated truck & platform van bodies with 14 manufacturing facilities across the US. Our facility in Riverside has 150 employees and would have this Plant Manager operating from 6am - 4pm Mon-Fri to help ensure this division runs smoothly. The Plant Manager would be hands on & responsible for leading & directing the overall operations of the manufacturing plant.
What You Will Be Doing
2) Conduct annual business planning & budgeting of the manufacturing plant
3) Drive continuous improvement in plant to exceed business objectives
4) Plan & forecast long term plans in a bid to increase the efficiency & profitability
5) Maintain safe working conditions, practices & good housekeeping of the plant (execute this through 5S & continuous improvement techniques)
6) Improve methods & processes to improve productivity, reduce costs & improve quality
7) Understand bottlenecks that limit production & take necessary corrective action
8) Ensure flow of materials to meet production needs
9) Ensure proper equipment and tools for workforce to complete tasks
What You Need for this Position
2) 5 years in heavy industrial manufacturing environment or 10 years in lieu of degree
3) Demonstrated supervisory experience of increased responsibility within the plant
4) Ability to navigate a P&L/budget & understand principles / concepts to research budget discrepancies
5) Proven leadership in industrial manufacturing setting
6) Strong root cause problem solving background in manufacturing
7) Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma experience ideal
8) Experience in "made to order" manufacturing is ideal
